I guess Denise is back to doing reviews too. She loves this one: Orchard Station's 2010 Sonoma County Chardonnay.
I happen to like it too, and I'm not much of a white wine drinker. As the good folks at Orchard Station will tell you, this chard is for those who don't like chardonnay. It is very clean, crisp and easy to drink.
The nose is full of citrus and spice, and in the mouth you will taste that same citrus along with hints of pear and apple. This is a wonderful chardonnay to have chilled on a hot summer day. And like my main man David Cohen at Moondance Cellars says: it's diet. No butter!
For those of you that have never heard of Orchard Station Winery, shame on you. Orchard Station is the white label for Moondance Cellars and all the wines are made by the guru himself, David Cohen.
Check them out in Glen Ellen at the tasting room or online at orchardstationwinery.com
Go and buy. Don't worry about tasting it first. I already did that for you. It's fantastic. You will not be disappointed.
Enjoy!
